According to the Puranas, there was a huge war between Lord Shiva and the demon Andhak, in which Lord Shiva’s brain was cut into four pieces by the mace of the demon Andhak and a stream of blood started flowing from that brain, Baba Bhairav through the same stream of blood. Nath ji was born, hence Bhairav is considered an incarnation associated with the destruction of Shiva. Baba Bhairav Nath ji has great importance in the Hindu religion. Baba Bhairav Nath was an incarnation of Shiva and a disciple of Gorakhnath ji and was liberated by Mata Vaishnav Devi. And it is believed that by appreciating Baba Bhairav Nath, Mother Goddess is also pleased, so even in Navratri, worship of Baba Bhairav Nath is also done on the day of Ashtami and other days also.
As the Goddess Said in Tantra — “Worship of Bhairav Nath will be done only then my worship will be successful”. Therefore in the Navratri festival also Ashtami day is considered as the biggest day to please Baba Bhairav."
It is believed that by offering prasad to Lord Bhairav, negative forces do not enter the house and there is no physical hindrance, Baba Bhairav protects his devotees in every way.
The dish made of black urad lentils for Baba Bhairav Nath has been prepared in mustard oil only, after offering dumplings, pakodas, imarti urad dumplings, etc., feed Baba Bhairav Nath’s vehicle to the dog, so that Baba Bhairav Nath gets faster from his devotees. He is pleased and fulfills every wish of his devotees.

By chanting this mantra of Baba Bhairav in accordance with the ritual, physical suffering does not come. and the enemies are destroyed. This mantra is also used to dispel the fear of death .
